RAW Sidr Peshawar Honey

Botanical name – Ziziphus Spina-Christi,(also known as Lote tree, Christ’s Thorn, Jujube or Nabkh tree)

Taste: Robust with butterscotch & caramel notes.

Colour: Smooth and moderately thick honey with medium to dark amber.

Some of the health benefits of this honey are that: it lowers bad cholesterol, strengthens the immune system, and is suitable for athletes, the elderly and pregnant women for its high mineral content.

This ancient tree grows uncultivated in the remote mountains that climb Pakistan and Afghanistan’s tribal areas. The Sidr tree is considered sacred and used as a natural medicine for centuries. The genuine Sidr Honey is also rare. It is harvested once a year from October-November.

Sidr Honey from Pakistan is bolder in taste and aroma than its sister country, Yemen. Its medicinal properties are the same as it is harvested from the same tree; it is from different regions.
