medjoul dates benefits

The benefits of juicy Medjoul dates - delicious and healthy

Let’s start first with the origin of our Medjoul dates. We, at Princess Bee, are working on projects to support small producers, who in return can supply bigger markets with fresh, clean and natural products. And we are happy to introduce our first collaboration with small farmers from Jericho, Palestine.

The Medjoul dates are well known all over the world as a superior and unique fruit. For Medjoul dates to grow, specific weather conditions are needed, as very high temperature and low humidity. This is the reason why the best Medjoul dates are produced in Jericho by many dates farmers. This date variety is generally deemed to be the top quality category because, compared to other types of dates, these are the largest in size and the richest in taste. In addition, they are rich in minerals, fibres and vitamins and represent a natural sweetener alternative to sugar. This date variety is characterized by soft texture, rich moist and a juicy sweet taste.

The quality of the Medjoul (Medjool) is defined by the date’s skin separation percentage. The higher the class, the lower the skin separation percentage.

The Premium Medjoul date has 0% –  10% skin separation.

TYPE: Premium JUMBO

WEIGHT: ranges between 22 g. and 28 g. per date

Botanical Name – Phoenix dactylifera

Taste – Medjool dates have a rich, almost caramel-like taste and a soft, chewy texture

Medjool dates are a FRESH FRUIT. They are harvested from the date palm, cleaned, sorted and packaged right away. There’s no processing and they’re never physically or chemically dried.

There’s no wrong way to eat a Medjool date and there are a TON of different uses. From date syrup for breakfast, dates in salads, cod with a date sauce, coconut date rice, stuffed dates, date caramelized crème brûlée and even to date-sweetened cocktails.

Medjool dates are healthy!

They contain natural sugar, but they have a low/medium glycemic index score because they also contain a good amount of fibre, which slows the release of the carbohydrates and gives you sustained energy rather than spiking your blood sugar crazy high. They’re also low in fat and packed with nutrients like potassium (50% more potassium by weight than a banana), copper, magnesium, vitamin B6, niacin, calcium, iron and vitamin K.

The best way to start your day is with a Medjoul date. Great source of energy and a perfect way to keep the hunger away.
